A few years back I had the pleasure of being a part of a laptop orchestra (GLORK). It was my introduction into live performance electronic music. I use to think that electronic music was 'just not my thing', in terms of incorporating it into my own compositions. Even after my brief stent with GLORK I just wasn't sold on it. I was, however, very impressed with MAX MSP and thought that I would come back to it some day just for fun.
Being that we are in a recession I decided to use the program, Pure Data (Pd~) which is FREE! I started tinkering with a bit and began to lose hours in developing patches. I then found myself writing a work that I am pretty excited about. It will include vocal part which will be sung by wife. An excerpt from the text is as follows:
"...unum qui tenet septem stellas in dextera sua qui ambulat in medio septem candelabrorum aureorum."
